March sales of single family homes in Massachusetts rose 2 percent from the year before, the first time in six months that sales increased over 2005 monthly figures, according to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. At the same time, however, the statewide median selling price for single family homes dropped to $344,000, a decline of 1.7 percent from March 2005.
