The building permit volume for new homes dropped in April for the Albuquerque area, while the monthly averages were up, according to DataTraq, a data base of new housing market information. The city of Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, the village of Los Lunas and the unincorporated Bernalillo and Valencia counties are included in the data.
