Kathy Kennebrook Posts A Reminder To Real Estate Investor Landlords

For those of you who are landlords and real estate investors here is just a friendly reminder for you.

Always always take the time to run your prospective tenants through tenant check or check public records before you rent to them no matter how good the deal looks. I got an application on one of my units mailed in to my office today. The Tenant wrote on the application that he has the full years rent up front at 950.00 per month.

I do not look at that as a good thing, it raises all kinds of red flags for me and I wonder what is wrong. And I was right. I looked him up in county records, I stopped at three pages of criminal activity. When I stopped chuckling I put his application and his check into an envelope and mailed it back to him. Obviously he cannot follow directions either. The bottom of all of my ads say “NO Evictions or convictions need apply”

Landlords if you want quality tenants who stay and take care of your property take the time to screen them first. It will save you the real estate investor a lot of headaches in the long run.
