Today’s piece of advice is based on something I learned from Ron LeGrand a long time ago. 7 simple words…Is that the best you can do? Can’t tell you how much money we have saved over the years with this one little sentence. Just this week in fact I got an extra couple hundred dollars because I took the time to follow up on this advice. I mentioned on my page that we bought some new furniture last week. Well this week it’s on sale. So I called the furniture company and asked for my refund and they gave it to us. That wouldn’t have happened without that one little phone call. Whenever I buy anything I always ask for additional discounts. For example, There is an Easy Spirit Shoe outlet near us where I like to buy shoes and they always have great sales. But early on I asked if they had any coupons or additional discounts and found out that they offer an additional 15% percent off with AARP or AAA. They don’t advertise that openly and I wouldn’t have gotten the additional discount unless I had asked for it. So folks always ask whenever you buy anything at all including real estate deals….Is that the best you can do???
