Kathy Discusses Finding Motivated Sellers and Deals For Her Rental Portfolio as A Real Estate Investor

So we got one of the two houses we had available currently rented, now the calls are starting on the second one. Rehab will be completed this week so we are advertising. The second house we are renting is a little unusual in that it is on a very large lot- 2 1/2 lots on a corner and fenced. We have plans for it later but for now it will be a rental. And it is in a wonderful residential neighborhood in an excellent school district.

So we got the first call on it today…guy wants to move his lawn maintenance business and all of his trailers there along with his boxer dogs. UUHHMM no!! Now mind you these calls don’t upset us, gives us something to giggle about and me more to write about!

We are doing a ton of deals right now and leads are coming in faster than we can keep up. It is the perfect time of the year for very targeted direct mail campaigns for the real estate investor, especially since property tax bills are due. If you are a motivated seller a tax bill you don’t want to pay is a really good motivation to sell. Leads are coming in by mail, email and fax for the most part so we are pretty busy.
